We offer three services:

What are your fees?
Our BOOKING FORM gives full details of the different fees we charge, which range from :
- CV Writing £47 to £75
- Cover Letter Writing £10 to £15
- Q and A Package for Interviews £10
How can you actually help me?
We can help in various ways:
- Your CV will be focused, professional, impressive and sell you as much as any document can once we are finished with it
- Your Covering Letter will do the same, and will set the tone for your whole application
- Our Q and A Document will give you stock questions and some key points that might be made in answer.
Can you get me a job?
No, nobody can say that.
But we can improve your prospects of getting an interview.
What is your success rate like?
We monitor a sample of people we help, but it is simply not practical to follow up on every client.
3 things say we are doing well for our clients:
- Firstly, the amount of repeat business we have.
- Secondly, we offer a guarantee that we will work on people’s CV until it is of a satisfactory standard for the industry involved. We seldom have to do a second draft, let alone a third or fourth.
- Thirdly, almost without exception, clients say the CV and Covering Letter has improved their chances and made them more confident.
What are my chances like of getting a new job?
Who really can answer that? We will be honest with you though. Clearly a professional CV will be a real help, as will the Covering Letter, as will the Q and A package, as will our Specialist Knowledge of particular industries.
In the end, it will be down to you, your personality, skills, ability at interview etc. But we will have helped you as much as any CV Consultancy can … and then some.
Why do I have to pay my fee up front?
All CV consultancies are the same. Our reasons are: We are a swift response organization that does its best for our clients. The turnaround of work is rapid, and much depends upon our relationship with our client – this time, and often on repeat work.
As a result, we need to be paid and not be sending invoices and reminders so as to concentrate on our service and doing the work in the best interests of our clients.
Your fees seem slightly higher than other similar providers?
True, but then you get what you pay for. While our fees are kept as low as possible.
We offer genuine quality from genuine professionals who will be genuinely interested in helping you and doing the best on your behalf.
In the SPECIALIST AREAS, the fees are slightly higher but then you are getting expertise in those specialist – and highly rewarding – areas of work and professions. Again you get what you pay for.
What happens after I sign up for the CV WRITING SERVICE?
3 SIMPLE STEPS in A 7 DAY STANDARD, or 24 hour or 3 hour SPECIAL SERVICE
- Within 24 hours / 3 hours / 1 hour your advisor will be in touch asking you to:
a) Tell us about yourself through the answers to some key questions.
b) Send us your existing CV and Cover Letter if you have one.
c) Supply a phone number where we can contact you for a chat about what you want your CV to do, what you are aiming for in terms of work etc..
3. YOUR CV will be with you by e mail within 7 days / 1 day / 3 hours. We even advise on FONT, COLOUR, PAPER etc..
What happens after I sign up for the COVER LETTER WRITING SERVICE?
3 SIMPLE STEPS in A 7 DAY STANDARD, or 24 hour or 3 hour SPECIAL ERVICE
- Within 24 hours / 3 hours / 1 hour your advisor will be in touch asking you to:
a) Tell us about yourself through the answers to some key questions.
b) Send us your existing CV and Cover Letter if you have one.
c) Supply a phone number where we can contact you for a chat about what you want your CV to do, what you are aiming for in terms of work etc..
- YOUR COVER LETTER will be with you by e mail within 7 days / 1 day / 3 hours. We even advise on FONT, COLOUR, PAPER etc..
What happens after I sign up for the Q and A INTERVIEW PACKAGE?
AGAIN, 3 EASY STAGES.
A) Book the INTERVIEW, Q and A SERVICE you want by going to BOOKING FORM.
B) Within 24 hours we will ask you for details of: the Specialist Industry you are to be interviewed in, the date and the interviewing organisation, any other details you can send us (e.g. advert, job responsibilities etc.)
C) Within 24 hours, a set of Common Questions and Suggested Major Points in Answer will be with you by e mail.
How do I pay?
In GB £.
By credit card on our secure on line system.
You can pay be cheque, payable to Praxis Films Ltd. please, and send to our address as listed on the Contact Us page on this site.
Any discounts?
No.
How long will / should my CV be?
The standard response is it should be 2 sides average, 3 pages maximum, and your Covering Letter ideally one side, and no more than 2.
But, things can vary. If you are 20 years in the TV industry, you may have several pages just listing your programme credits. If you are a senior I.T. person, you may have several pages just listing your software knowledge and capabilities and your products.
Can you give guidance on what my salary should be?
That is very hard to say. Much will depend upon the industry in question, your position and skills etc. Our industry specialists should be able to give you a guide line on salary however.

Our offices are in Islington in London.
Our clients are worldwide.
Our advisors are all over the UK.
How long have you been in business?
As a film and TV production company, Praxis has been in business since 1985.
As a company offering training, we have had a department doing that since 1999.
We have been offering CV consultation etc. for the past 5 years.
What do you offer that is different?

What if I am not happy with your service?
We guarantee to keep working on your CV until you are happy, or we will refund your money.
Do I need to see anyone or visit you?
No, we will probably talk to you by phone or may do everything by e mail.
Can you show me specimens of a good CV and a bad CV?
If you go to our GOOD CV / BAD CV page you can download examples of each in relation to the media.

You were not originally a CV Writing company? What is your story and does this help me in my quest for an excellent CV?
SuccessfulCVs.Com is part of and run by a specialist department in Praxis Films Ltd., a long established award winning radio, film, television and new media production company and communications consultancy.
Successful CVs.Com did not start out as a CV Writing Consultancy. We think that is a real and genuine advantage to you because we bring lots of extras to the service because of this. We came to CV Consultancy through:
- Being employers
- Being trainers
- Being people who had been through the mill of looking for work and writing CVs and Covering Letters, learning many lessons the hard way.
- Being asked to help with CV writing. First in the Media, then soon after in
Academia
and Education. A second wave, through word of mouth essentially, saw us doing the same things in the areas of Law and I.T., and then in Business and Corporate and Executive. The All Purpose CV came as this website was established.
- Having people on staff who were very very good at CV and Cover Letter Writing and Job Interview training. Not only that, they enjoyed the work and helping people.
- Recruiting a Careers Advisor and Trainer to head up the new department
